Did you know that when you encounter a person, place or thing you can pick up the energy of what you've encountered? Say for instance you happen upon someone who is always upbeat, positive and smiling. Everyone wants to be with or near that individual because he or she radiates positive energy. They light up a room. That's always a welcomed encounter.
Now, have you ever encountered someone who is genuinely unhappy, disgruntled, argumentative and angry? Did you notice your energy seemed "drained" after conversing or counseling that person unwilling to change his or her perspective. If you're a positive energy person, you couldn't wait to get out of the vicinity of that energy vampire.
The human body consists of five layers of energy; physical, etheric, emotional, mental and spiritual together, these five layers, or energy bodies, comprise the human energy field. These layers can be in balance or out of balance depending upon your environment, the people you engage, and your thought processes. Have you checked on these lately?
To be "in balance" for me means to be in step with God emotionally, spiritually, physically...all of the above. Because through Christ we can feel a calmer sense of being. We know He is a comforter and protector. We know there is an answer to our troubles that reveals itself in prayer and meditation. We know that if we permit, through faith all will be well again.
During this life there will be times when we experience "low energy". Days, weeks and sometimes even longer when our spirit requires re-energizing through meditation, fellowship, counseling - whatever the mind and body may require. But remember the overall energy we need and require to sustain us is a sincere, soul baring connection with God. There our minds can find mental peace and acceptance, our physiological mind can heal the body, our spiritual energy can connect with God. In my lifetime I have learned that God is all encompassing, He is all knowing, He is all energy.
Isaiah 40:28-31
Have you not known? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength. Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted; but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.
