There comes a time in everyone's life when we question our future. Whether our concerns are financial, spiritual, emotional or physical we wonder what the years ahead will hold. It's the uncertainty of these times that sends those of us without a spiritual anchor into a false reality of assuredness or pearl clinching disbelief and panic. The false reality of assuming we know what the next day will present or the emotional meltdown when not knowing what to do, or whom we should confide.
We as Believers know that no day, hour nor second is promised to anyone. Regardless of our age, ethnicity, income or beliefs, the hour of our nonexistence is unknown to all but one. Life is constantly changing and very unpredictable young folks. In my lifetime I have counseled with those who have been diagnosed with less than months to live, but by faith and through God's grace and mercy have lived decades beyond what doctors diagnosed. I've also prayed with those who were blessed to have endured the smallest of life's crisis, but no longer here on earth within a year. The only certainty we have as Believers is that life will end and through God and faith anything is possible.
How do we walk with faith? We continue on knowing and believing that God never fails us. Our reality is that we don't know what tomorrow will bring. We don't know when our circumstances will change, the hour life will leave us. We don't know what each minute holds. But we do know that we can conquer fear through unwavering, steadfast faith in Christ. We know that to fear life, people, places and unknown circumstances is to doubt the existence of a greater power we know as God. A power that comforts, protects, advises, provides and yes moves mountains. We Believers know trouble will come, grief will strike, and yes, harm and danger may occur, but through Christ we have learned to endure, to testify, to praise His grace and mercy, and to submit to His will. And God, like the wind we never see, the scent we can never touch, with unwavering, unquestionable reliability will be there, no matter the obstacle. Some call this delusional, others call this impractical. We Believers call this faith over fear.
Many blessings...
Acts 17:25
Our life, our every breath comes from God.
Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you
