Gracefully Broken...

Ever notice how hard we sometimes fight change? I hate change. This means I've got to learn something new, do something differently, accept what I can't change, and change what I've become most comfortable doing or feeling. Change and I do not agree, but I have learned it is definitely a part of life. But there are those that continually resist. We sometimes refer to these folks as 'set in his ways' or ' she's simply stubborn.'

I know folks and friends who have held on to people, places,  habits, and thoughts that should have been shed decades ago. Still walking about angry about a childhood trauma, resentful about the dysfunctional relationship that didn't work years ago. And these folks suddenly one day wonder why they can't smile like you! Why do they have no peace of mind? Rejecting anything and everyone that promises a positive change. Whether you are a Believer or not, whether you have a relationship with Christ or not, sometimes when we are so immersed in our own self-pity or discontent the divine will step in and slowly open those wounds to reveal our worst pain and fears.

What many of us don't know is that the catalyst to change the Divine may send could be in the form of a person, place, or thing. It's called triggers. These triggers cause our insecurities, fears, and dysfunction to surface, and our reaction to all these triggers in most cases is turbulence, denial, and anger. When this happens we don't understand our emotions, and in despair, we cry out for relief. This is when God must step in because we have been 'gracefully broken'.

Gracefully broken is about being broken by God so that He may take you to a higher place spiritually, physically, and emotionally with Him. To be gracefully broken is to surrender everything to God so that He can position you, promote you, and put you in a place where you can develop a new level of character, and consciousness and experience new blessings we were not prepared to receive. It can be a horrible experience designed to level you up in every area of your life. Trust His process so that you can begin to rebuild your temple again...Amen.

Proverbs 3:5-6

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your path

Jeremiah 17:14

Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved, for you are my praise.
