By now you may have lived long enough to know that life has its ebbs and flow. It's ups and down days, its "just not my day" days, and the "you gotta be kidding me?" moments too. The second you resolve one issue, extinguish another raging fire, resolve another conflict something unavoidably unfortunate surfaces yet again. I've had this feeling for some time now. An example, the month my warranty ended and I finally paid my vehicle off everything one could imagine mechanically and electronically went wrong. I was ready to send my faithful carriage of five years over a cliff. I know there are many of you reading this with irony, in pain because you are facing so much more.
There are days we wonder if Jesus is even listening, and if so does He really care? If so, why so many mountains to climb, so many valleys to travel. How many more lessons to learn? But life is a constant test, preparing us with profound lessons.
There will be times in all of lives when we must face our own personal mountains and valleys. No matter what walk of life we may reside, the perils and pitfalls of walking in faith will be tested. Remember that no life goes untouched by troubles, trials and tribulation. One could say we were all cursed and blessed with these revelations since creation.
In a parallel universe all would be well in our lives all the time. We'd have no fear of loss, grief, tragedy, nor understand the pleasure of spiritual joy. There is a reason for our adversities. And through God we have the ability to learn life's meanings, the strength to overcome its adversities, and authority to bind doubt, fear and weakness to climb our mountains, conquer our valleys, stand strong in faith and with courage ask our troubles - mountain...who are you!? Amen...
