It's Thanksgiving! We're gathering around friends and family, great food recipes from decades past are being created, and family stories are being retold and passed down. Loved ones that have passed on? Well, you can feel the wonderful energy in the room as we tell our best memories. It's probably one of the best days of the year! But in addition to sending you a Happy Thanksgiving, I want to thank you for the blessings you've humbly provided all year long.
We go day-to-day doing and providing the smallest acts of kindness, or showing the greatest amount of courage, the deepest amount of compassion. And yet we don't give our positive actions a second thought, because we know that's the way of the Believer...Amen! So as we gather today and give thanks, please know that we are taking this holiday to thank you...
Thank you for the little blessings you may not know you provided when you smiled at someone who needed a lift. Thank you for donating your time and finances to those causes that move you and change the world! Thank you for being the confidant, friend, and motivator when someone reached the end of their emotional road. Thank you for being a light and guidance when someone needed a spiritual path. Thank you for being a leader and pillar of your communities. Thank you for making a difference in our political arenas, boardrooms, our Synagogues, Temples, and Mosques.
Whether you know it or not, every day the small compassionate, courageous, empathetic things you do encourage the teachings of Christ and offer someone somewhere a new faith in life and a stronger faith. You are offering a Thanksgiving every day. And today we celebrate and are grateful and thankful for you...AMEN.
You will be enriched in every way to be generous in every way, which through us will produce thanksgiving to God.
