What's the good stuff? Some might say having lots of money in the bank, others say good health, everything you're asking God to bless you with daily! Who doesn't want more sleep, laughter, sunsets, music and love to name a few?!
Lately no matter where we turn, tragedy, disruption, mayhem has managed to step to our
front doors again! As if getting through Covid wasn't hard enough, now we have religious and political discord. Two entities, both sworn never to broach the other's autonomy. But here it is...swords crossed.
Whether you're still on Facebook, advanced to Youtube or graduated to tik tok you can find an opposing opinion on everything from Women's Rights to gun control, mental health to the recession (is it here?) and let's swing our way back to religion vs politics! Some of the rantings I've heard lately from both political and religious leaders is enough to make you hate your own neighbor, and declare everyone else on the planet insane!.
But as you tune in to all the rhetoric, I want you to remember there are still times we should reflect on the blessings in our lives. Learn the art of patience, acceptance and tolerance. Drown out the naysayers and concentrate on welcoming the calming spirit of Christ.
Some of you are new parents, or new grandparents! Our children are entering or graduating high school or college. You've recently reached that corporate career level, completed that novel or book of short stories, adopted a new pet friend, retired to your dream place, started a new business, bought a home or sold one! Your learned that death warrant-cancer is in remission, the tumor was benign! Somehow, somewhere something wonderful has occurred in or around your life! It's just been overshadowed by the noise of discord.
Some of us got lost in the noise. It disrupted our spirit and questioned our faith. And whether you think its white noise or the world is ending remember the peace and comfort, and yes understanding God can provide in a world where chaos is abound. Each of us is accountable for what we produce and offer in this life. And when we each begin to tally up and reconcile our lives some will finally understand it's those big blessings and small miracles that made us smile from ear-to-ear, made our chests bigger, our chins higher - our love for mankind and God deeper. Now that's the good stuff! Amen...
Romans 8:28 And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.
2 Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
